To get the most out of your product feed, you will want to fill out all relevant product attributes. This article will show you several ways you can do this with FeedOps.
What are product attributes?
Product attributes describe your products, telling channels like Google about your product size, color, material, pattern and so on. The more of these attributes you can fill out, the more the channel will have to work with in determining which products to show to which customers.
How can I add missing attributes?
How you add missing attributes will depend on where you have the data.
Create an attribute mapping
If you already have the data in your web store (e.g. Shopify), you may be able to map an attribute directly. This is the most efficient method where possible, as it involves the least effort on your part.
You can learn how to map an attribute here.
Import your attributes
If you have your data in an electronic format like a CSV file or Google Sheet, you can import it directly into FeedOps.
To import your data:
- Go to the Products screen for your website.
- Select the channel you wish to import data for (e.g. Google).
- Click Import and choose your data source. At a minimum you will need a column for Item ID and another for the attribute you want to import.
- Click Save.

Manually edit attributes
If you are not able import your missing attributes using either of the above methods, you can still manually edit products in FeedOps.
To edit your product data manually:
- Go to the Products screen for your website.
- Click on Columns and add the attribute you want to edit as a column.
- Select the products you want to add data for and click Edit.
- Enter the value to be applied to the products.
- Click Save.
